History of Science

The umbrella term “history of science” is used for meetings and conferences that focus on the history of the study and understanding of the natural world around us.

The basic idea is that human thought, the human spirit, is reflected in numerous forms of expression: Literature, architecture, visual arts, philosophy, music, etc. These forms of expression have manifested themselves in different cultures and civilisations in their own characteristic forms and thus form specific features of cultural groups and times.  An evaluation of different epochs and cultures measured against today’s state of knowledge is out of the question; instead, the conference series envisages a neutral, open approach to the subject.

Specific dates and content will be announced under Conferences  and News .
