I Roman Thought

The philosophy and (cultural) history of ancient Rome and its reception is one of the central fields of research promoted by our foundation. Within the framework of several years of successful coop-eration with the Société Internationale des Amis de Cicerón , important research in this area has been funded, the results of which have been published in the PLuS-funded series CICERO .
PLuS promotes philological and exegetical projects that adduce classical, medieval and early mod-ern sources to study Roman philosophy (including imperial Greek authors) and its reception. The rediscovery of classical Latinity, the art of oratory, law, political and moral philosophy will also be investigated. Research results may subsequently be published by De Gruyter in the series CICERO.
