Funding* for the organisation of academic conferences is announced via calls for proposals. Unfortunately, spontaneously submitted applications cannot be considered.
Academic conferences should relate to the following subject areas: Classics/Greek and Latin Literature, Classical Archeology, the Archeology and Art History of the Middle Ages, and the Reception of Ancient and Medieval Culture in the Western Tradition.
The following criteria are decisive for the evaluation of applications;
1. internationality of the conference
2. innovative aspects of the conference topic
3. is the topic a desideratum of research?
4. junior/young researchers who do not have their own budget
*Additional information::
Generally, partial sums are paid to contribute to the realisation of the conference. The approved grants generally amount from EUR 2,500 to a maximum of EUR 5,000 per application.
Only costs that are actually incurred as part of the conference organisation are covered. Overhead costs for the settlement of administrative processes are not covered.
